Cookie Policy
A cookie is a small file a website keeps in your browser. This page lists every cookie the XYZ Prints website sets, and the other things it keeps in your browser, with what each one is for and how long it lasts.
The cookies we set
Each of them is needed for the site to work or to do what you asked, which is why the law does not require your consent for them. None is used for advertising or to follow you on other sites.
wo_cart_xyz_prints— your cart: remembers what you added and the files you uploaded. Set the first time you open the print wizard, the cart or the checkout, use the price calculator on a price page, drop files on one of the site's upload panels, or add something to the cart; lasts 48 hours.wo_customer_xyz_prints— keeps you signed in to your account. Set when you sign in; lasts 30 days, or until you sign out.wo_lang_xyz_prints— remembers the language you chose. Set when you change language; lasts one year.wo_reorder— carries the result of “Order this again” to your cart. Lasts one minute.
Cookies set by Stripe
When the Apple Pay or Google Pay buttons are offered on the cart and checkout pages, those pages load Stripe's payment script, and Stripe sets its own cookies there to prevent fraud: __stripe_mid (one year) and __stripe_sid (30 minutes). They are Stripe's, under Stripe's own privacy and cookie policies.
Other things kept in your browser
Besides cookies, the site keeps a few small notes in your browser's own storage, used only by the pages of this site:
wo_cookie_notice— that you closed the cookie notice, so that it does not show again. Kept until you clear your browser's data.xyz_paper_mode— whether you prefer the simple or the detailed list of papers in the print wizard. Kept until you clear your browser's data.xyz_pending_queue,xyz_pending_failuresandxyz_pending_notices— the files you dropped on the home page, carried into the print wizard;xyz_lang_resume— where you were in the wizard when you change language;xyz_chunk_size— the size of upload pieces that suits your connection. Kept only until you close the tab.xyzEpr:…— that you have seen the notice about shipping to your country. Kept only until you close the tab.
What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no social media buttons that follow you, and no outside analytics. Our visitor statistics set no cookie and store no internet address (see our privacy policy).
Paying on another site
When you pay by card on Stripe's page or with PayPal, you are on the provider's own site, which sets its own cookies under its own policy.
The cookie notice
The notice shown on your first visit is for your information: as every cookie listed here is needed for the site to work, there is nothing to switch off, and either button closes it.
Managing cookies
You can see, block and delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block this site's cookies, the cart and signing in will not work.
Studio staff
The studio's back office, used only by our staff, sets its own sign-in cookies, and the print wizard remembers in the browser when a member of staff switches from the studio's view to a customer's (xw_studio_view); none of this is ever set for customers.
